Burnside Steps as a Feedbucket alternative

Feedbucket is a good product with more features than this one. If you are looking at alternatives, it is usually for one of three reasons: you want to run the thing on your own infrastructure, you want to stop paying a subscription, or you want to read the code. Those are the three we can help with.

What Feedbucket does better

  • Reporters can comment on the feedback they sent, not only submit it
  • Sixteen integrations, against our three
  • Unlimited active projects on Business

If any of those is the reason you are shopping, Feedbucket is the better buy and you should take it.

What you get here instead

One Cloudflare Worker, or one Node process, that you can run yourself. Feedback goes from a visitor's browser to your Linear, GitHub or GitLab, and the destination token never leaves your relay. Self-host it and nobody but you ever stores a screenshot, because there is no middle. On hosted we are that middle: ninety days on the free tier, and on Pro until you delete the account; self-hosted, you decide.

The licence is AGPL, so you can read exactly what the widget captures rather than taking our word for it, and you can change it. The Pro key is $79 once and covers every version we ever ship.

If that is not what you are after, Feedbucket is genuinely good and so are the others. Pick the one that fits.
